- Directs and supervises City of Box Elder operations; develops and implements the Citys overall vision mission and direction.
- Formulates and implements strategic plans evaluates organizational success and implements changes to ensure that success.
- Directs and evaluates the work of city department heads works with department heads to develop and implement department goals strategies and priorities.
- Oversees the implementation of city policies and evaluates their effectiveness to make necessary adjustments.
- Identifies and assesses potential risks to the city develops strategies to mitigate those risks and ensures continuity of operations.
- Oversees the city procurement process.
- Provides strategic oversight and guidance in the development of the annual city budget monitoring expenditures and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Represents the city at the local state and national level participates in city-related events and programs promotes cooperation with other governmental and private organizations.
- Serves as the City election official and oversees all municipal elections.
- Serves as liaison to the Mayor and City Council attends all meetings of the City Council briefs the Council on pending agenda items and other City issues. Responds to inquiries and provides the Mayor and Council Members with information on the status of City operations and projects.
- Administratively reviews and approves for appropriateness and sufficiency all contracts obligation documents payments and other documents requiring the Mayors signature as well as proposed Council orders and communication with the City Council prior to the Mayors signature.
- Ensures the proper preparation of the City Council agenda and minutes through the City Clerks office.
- Oversees professional contractors and/or consultants providing services for City projects participates in the evaluation and selection of contractors/consultants interfaces with and monitors the contractors/consultants to ensure timely and quality completion of projects facilitates cooperation with the project throughout the organization and provides information and support as needed.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of the City by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with the public and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal state and local laws and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:
