Responsibilities:

- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Guide the team in effective execution of all Scrum events: Sprint Planning Daily Scrums Sprint Reviews Discovery Sessions and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Embody Servant-Leadership: Coach and support the Scrum Team in their adoption of Agile/Scrum empowering them to become self-organizing and cross-functional.
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify track and help resolve blockers and impediments that hinder the teams progress. Escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
- Coach and Mentor: Coach the team in Agile values and principles self-organization and continuous improvement. Mentor team members on Agile best practices and their respective roles.
- Support the Product Managers and Owners: Assist the Product Manager and Owner with backlog management ensuring the product backlog is well-defined refined and prioritized to maximize value.
- Support the Organization: Work with other Scrum Masters and Agile leaders to improve the application of Agile practices and values across the organization. Help drive a culture of agility and learning.
- Foster Communication & Transparency: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with stakeholders. Make the teams work visible (e.g. through burndown charts Kanban boards) to promote transparency.
- Protect the Team: Shield the team from outside interruptions and distractions to help them stay focused on achieving their Sprint Goal.
- Cross Team Collaboration: Work with other scrum masters in managing the inter-team dependencies through facilitating Scrum of Scrums and team collaboration sessions.
Qualifications:

- Experience: 8 years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team.
- Certification: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) or equivalent certification.
- Agile/Scrum Knowledge: Deep understanding of Scrum and Agile principles (e.g. Scrum Kanban) values and practices.
- Facilitation: Proven ability to facilitate meetings and team discussions ensuring they are productive engaging and achieve their objectives.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal conflict resolution and mentoring skills. High emotional intelligence and empathy.
- Tools: Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g. Jira Trello Asana).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business or a related field.
- Experience in the Healthcare Payer industry.
- Advanced certification (e.g. A-CSM PSM II SAFe Scrum Master).
- Experience with scaling Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe LeSS ).
- Technical background or experience working closely with software engineering teams.
- Experience coaching teams on technical practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
