We are looking for a strategic people-focused Manager to lead Altogether Autism.

This role involves:

  • Overseeing service delivery

You will lead a small skilled team and make sure everything we do reflects:

Your mahi (work) will directly support autistic people and their whānau to access information connection and opportunities that improve wellbeing and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality information advice and connection services
  • Increase national visibility and engagement across communities and professional networks
  • Build strong partnerships with autistic people whānau providers researchers and advisors
  • Champion autistic voices and embed lived experience in all our work
  • Lead content creation (newsletters resources guides social media and our online Annual Journal)
  • Manage the Advisory Group
  • Track and report on key performance indicators
  • Respond to opportunities through proposals funding applications and sector initiatives
  • Support live chat systems and ensure smooth operation for customers and staff
  • Model and uphold Your Way Kia Rohas values health and safety practices and commitment to Te Tiriti

What Youll Bring

  • Lived experience of autism or whānau connection (highly valued)
  • Strong understanding of the disability sector in Aotearoa and alignment with Enabling Good Lives
  • Proven experience leading people with a supportive collaborative style
  • Ability to explain information clearly and accessibly
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders across the motu
  • Experience or interest in content development digital engagement and community outreach
  • Sound judgement and ability to respond to emerging needs
  • Cultural competence including tikanga Te Ao Māori and Pasifika perspectives
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and managing digital workflows
  • Ability to travel within the region and occasionally nationally

Your Way Kia Roha is an independent not-for-profit organisation working with disabled people and their whānau in their communities across Aotearoa New Zealand. We have over 40 years experience and the majority of our staff all our board and all our disability leadership group are disabled people or close family members of people with disabilities.
