The Health Promotion Specialist is primarily responsible for the development implementation and assessment of initiatives designed to support and engage students in maintaining and enhancing their overall wellbeing. The incumbent is an integral member of the Student Wellness Services team ensuring wellbeing is integrated into fundamental programming and services. With a focus on the implementation of the student-focused initiatives tied to the Colleges Wellness Strategy and First Year Experience the incumbent develops and oversees services designed to enhance proactive intervention and access throughout the student life cycle. This includes outreach and student-led initiatives liaising with campus and community partners as well as designing and delivering wellness and intervention training consultation and education. The incumbent works in collaboration with College programs and services and with community stakeholders to ensure students have access to and knowledge of all well-being supports and services available both on and off campus.

You have the ability to work with minimal supervision both independently and within a collaborative care setting.
You have experience using a variety of techniques for successful program delivery both virtually and in person and have excellent presentation skills which lean on learning and development best practice to engage students effectively.
You have the skills and knowledge to work with an increasingly diverse student and staff population as well as a proven commitment to anti-oppression equity and inclusion.
