Management of the Facilities and Workplace Operations for the Spokane (Pinecroft) Facility

POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities & Workplace OperationsManagerwill have direct oversight and responsibility for the facilities and workplace operations oftheF5 Facilities inSpokane. Theseincludesgeneral office spaces and a range of specialized research and development (R&D) labtech engineering and serverenvironments.The role encompassesfacilities management includingmaintenanceandvendor managementphysicalsecurity workplace continuity planningevent coordination managementadherence to health and safety protocols and other related facilities and workplace responsibilities.

The candidate is expected to implement strategic plans to address the facilitys operational needs ensuring cost efficiency and operational excellence. This role alsoplaysa key leadership role in managing infrastructure fostering a productive workplace environment andmaintainingcompliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for upholding the companys Business Code of Ethics and reporting any violations of company policies promptly.

  • Oversee and manage theworkplaceoperationsmaintenance andgeneral upkeep of Spokanes 60000 SF facility including its office and R&D lab spaces.

  • Perform badge access audits safety drills and inspections in line with corporate and local compliance policies.

  • Manage relationships with vendors including evaluating selecting and coordinating service contracts for HVAC janitorial services electrical maintenance R&D labsupportequipment and other critical infrastructure.

  • Manage and oversee securitysystem including access control (ACS) and CCTV systems for compliance and monitoring at the Spokane sites.

  • Ensure R&D lab spacesremainfunctional and compliant with operational maintenance and safety requirements.

  • Monitor and managecostsrelated to facility operations and workplace management ensuring adherence to guidelines and company financial standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between local facility staff and corporate teams ensuring consistent communication and strategic alignment.

  • Conduct scheduled maintenance reviewsand Facility Condition Assessmentsfor the Spokane facilitiesidentifyingand addressing areas requiring improvement repair or investment.

  • Ensure regular training and development for Spokane facility staff focusing on workplace continuity emergency preparedness and health and safety compliance.

  • Coordinate and oversee workplacelogistics such asoffice moves/relocations and decommissionsemployee relocations new hire onboarding (spacesetup) furniture reconfigurations and preparation for R&D lab expansions.

  • Participate as a key stakeholder in corporate initiativesregardingoperations planning and workplace improvements.

  • Performadditionalduties as assigned including assisting with special projects responding to emergencies and other workplaceoperationsneeds.

ESTABLISHING FACILITIES STANDARDS & CONTINUITY

  • Manage digital facilities management toolsto ensure the consistent application of workplace standardsin Spokane with F5.

  • Oversee visitor management system to streamline visitor check-ins and track compliance with health and safety protocols.

  • Maintain andmonitoran up-to-date inventory of allfacilitiesassetswithin the Spokane facility tracking asset usage life cycles and maintenance requirements.

  • Developcontinuityplans for workplace operations ensuring consistent service delivery during unforeseen events or emergencies.

  • Manage Emergency Management preparation.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience with facility and workplace operations in environments that include a mix of office and R&D lab spaces.

  • Strong knowledge of andpreviousexperience managing ACS and CCTV security systems.

  • Proficiencyin MS Office programs including Excel Word and PowerPoint.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide develop andsupervise/coordinatecross-functional teams effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills capable of engaging with employees across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material with trustworthiness and professionalism.

  • Strong organizational skills including knowledge of 5S workplace organizational methodologies.

  • Ability to develop andmaintainkey operational strategies in fast-paced or changing environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2years of experience in corporate office and/or facility operations management.

  • Bachelors degreeORequivalent experience in facilities management operations or related fields.

  • Proven operational experience in managing R&D lab facilities and workplace environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor contracts budgets and maintenance schedules.

  • 2years of directcritical environmentmanagement experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Occasional on-call duties and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Duties are performed in an office environment that may require regular mobility throughout the Spokane facility and its R&D labs.

  • Ability tooperateand utilizea computerand office equipment forlong periods.

  • Light lifting may beoccasionally (up to 50lbs).

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
