At the Queensland Rugby League (QRL) Rugby League is more than a game. Working from community clubs to the elite level we unite and inspire Queenslanders through our shared love of Rugby League.
Due to an internal move were looking for a Reception & Office Administrator to join our People & Capability team on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a start in sport be the welcoming face of QRL support our team and contribute to the smooth running of our head office in Milton.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for visitors clients and staff youll create a professional and welcoming front-of-house experience. Youll manage reception coordinate office activities and provide day-to-day administrative support across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing reception: greeting visitors handling calls responding to enquiries and coordinating meetings.
- Keeping our office organised and professional including meeting rooms supplies and mail.
- Arranging travel bookings and supporting company events.
- Providing administrative support across the business particularly during busy periods like State of Origin.
- Liaising with facilities and service providers to ensure the workplace runs smoothly.
- Note: This is NOT a hybrid role. The role is based in person at the Milton office Monday Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
About You
Were seeking someone who is professional organised and people-focused but who also knows how to bring a bit of good energy to the office. Youll keep things running smoothly at the front desk while being the friendly face that makes visitors and teammates feel welcome.
To be successful you have:
- Experience in a front-of-house reception or customer service role.
- Strong communication skills written verbal and interpersonal.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Tech savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly (Microsoft 365 Teams Citrix).
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- A proactive approach to office administration and teamwork.
Bonus points if you are:
Fire Warden trained and/or First Aid certified (if youre not we can get you trained!).
ROLE SPECS
This is a maximum-term contract for 6 months. The position is full-time and the salary for this position is $55000 plus superannuation. QRL remunerate based on the position requirements to ensure gender pay equity in sport.
