Job Summary
SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Accounting Manager Manufacturing oversees accounting operations ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP. This role manages month-end quarter-end and year-end closes. Additionally the Accounting Manager helps to maintain internal controls drive process improvements and handles special projects as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct accounting processes and functions including the timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions
- Oversees the month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes and review financial results balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries for compliance
- Maintains highest level of accuracy on inventory balances
- Ensures accuracy between NetSuite and the main system of record (Sage X3)
- Prepare reports for business activity and other reports as requested by management
- Responsible for the maintenance of effective internal controls
- Develop and implement process improvements/make recommendations
- Complete special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed
- May be assigned other duties as required
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work in office onsite Monday-Fridayâ
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- Active CPA a plus
- Manufacturing experience a plus
- NetSuite experience a plus
- AExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Current on best practices compliance and ethical business practices
- Able to act independently exercising independent decision-making and fulfilling responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Excellent teamwork skills ability to deal with others in a professional manner
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Intermediate/Highly proficient Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook
- Communicate effectively in English (reading writing speaking)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both in-person and through electronic means
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations
