Partnership with Children (PWC) is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering students to reach their full potential and succeed in school society and life. We work to provide school-wide critical counseling services as well as family and community outreach in New York City public schools mostimpactedby the effects of poverty and trauma. We are one of the citys largest providers of community school programs and school-based mental health services.
PWCandthe Center for Arts Education (CAE)merged in the PWC Arts in Education departmentdelivershigh-quality arts education programs thatnurturethe development of social and emotional learning in NYC public school students as a core part of their pre-K to 12thgrade and approach are rooted in an understanding of the impact of poverty and trauma on children a steadfast commitment to antiracism andexpertisein childrens social-emotional wellbeing.

Schedule/Hours:Part time;21hrs/week (During program times some evenings until 6:30pm)
Start Date:Immediatestart(Mid-January)
End Date:30 weekswith potentialofmoving into FT role
Salary: $27-32/hr based on experience

Job Description:
PWCisseekinga motivatedflexibleand positive individual tosupporta variety of right candidate will be passionate about arts education social-emotional learning and social justice.
Responsibilities:
Supportplanning and implementation of various school-based arts programming.
Support withprogram scheduling andlogisticswith school partners and TAs
Organizeprepareand distribute program materials
Collect and track proper records for all programs suchas lessonplans attendance media consent forms pictures of documentation etc.
Assistinfacilitatingthe Career Development Program an innovative program for high school seniors which places them in creative industry internships after an intensive led byPWC Arts.
CDPwork includes:
Co-facilitateprogram intensiveandFridaysymposiumsessions for students in collaboration planningand deliveringeducational content for students andsupportlogistics such as supplies and food.
Support to coordinateopportunities throughout the program for students to experience the arts community in New York City through field trips performances guest speakers and other opportunities.
Collaborate on the planning and implementation of CDP graduation ceremony.
Assistin development and management of CDP Alumni Network.
Document programs with photos and videos for Development and Communications purposes.
Othertasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experiencerequired with at least1-3years of work experience;
Experience working with and within New York City Public schools and/or arts education/administration preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills able to build rapport with understand the perspectives of and respond to the concerns and needs of Teaching Artists DOE educators and administrators nonprofit staff students and families.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including email telephone and in person communications. Ability to write well and in a variety of formats from reports to marketing materials.
Flexible worker and thinker; creative problem solver; independent organized and able to manage multiple competing priorities and time-sensitive tasks.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office suite. Experience withthe AdobeCreative Suitea plus social media Canva.
Must be PETS/DOE fingerprinted and eligible (PWC will reimburse for the cost if you need printing)
