Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities programs training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.
As the Carer Review Officer you will be responsible for proactively contacting carers to review their wellbeing following services accessed understand the impact of those supports and identify any further service requirements through Carer Gateway.
Responsibilities include:
This is a full time or part time (4 days) contract position until 26 June 2026.
Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services Mental Health Disability or a related field with relevant experience in client support or casework.
Demonstrated experience providing person centred support via the phone including goal setting or assessment conversations
Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records and using client databases
Knowledge of the community care and health systems and other programs relevant to carers
Strong understanding of mandatory reporting risk identification privacy and confidentiality requirements
Proven competency in communicating with and referring onto other relevant service providers and stakeholders within the community.
Strong commitment to teamwork good practice and quality service delivery
Advanced computer skills
Ability to guide conversations with empathy and understanding while still ensuring that the relevant outcome information is collected using theCarers Star framework.
