As a Locum NP/PA you will play a critical role in providing high-quality neonatal care collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates in various settings
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor and manage patients conditions adjusting care plans as necessary
- Educate families about neonatal care and health management
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant
- Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field
- Prior experience in neonatology or pediatric care is preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of current neonatal care practices and protocols
Must possess a valid state license to practice as NP/PA
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Shifts available at multiple hospitals
Level II and Level III NICUs
Daily Volume: 4-20 neonates and 4-18 newborns depending on site
Duties: Rounding and managing NICU infants attending high-risk deliveries and rounding on newborns
Required Procedures: Neonatal intubations umbilical line placements needle chest thoracentesis neonatal delivery attendance and resuscitation
Support Staff: Nurses RTs therapists pediatric NPs neonatologists
Must be board-certified
