This is a contract position that requires on-site work offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the care of our most vulnerable patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.

As a Locum NP/PA you will play a critical role in providing high-quality neonatal care collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact the health outcomes of newborns ensuring they receive the best possible care. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates in various settings
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and manage patients conditions adjusting care plans as necessary
  • Educate families about neonatal care and health management
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant
  • Associate degree in Nursing or relevant field
  • Prior experience in neonatology or pediatric care is preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of current neonatal care practices and protocols

Must possess a valid state license to practice as NP/PA

Schedule: 24-hour shifts

Shifts available at multiple hospitals

Level II and Level III NICUs

Daily Volume: 4-20 neonates and 4-18 newborns depending on site

Duties: Rounding and managing NICU infants attending high-risk deliveries and rounding on newborns

Required Procedures: Neonatal intubations umbilical line placements needle chest thoracentesis neonatal delivery attendance and resuscitation

Support Staff: Nurses RTs therapists pediatric NPs neonatologists

Must be board-certified
