Job Summary
We are in search of Civil Litigation Solicitor to join the firm providing a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals and businesses across the West Midlands and nationwide. What youll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of civil litigation matters;
- Handling disputes including commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters building disputes debt recovery contract disputes and general litigation;
- Taking client instructions and advising on funding options;
- Dealing with client queries by phone and in person;
- Liaising with clients stakeholders and third parties;
- Undertaking pre-action litigation;
- Drafting and preparing proceedings pleadings schedules of loss witness statements and other court documents;
- Preparing and advising on applications and related documentation;
- Contributing to business development and maintaining the firms high professional standards.
Requirements
What were looking for:
- UK-qualified Solicitor with 2 years PQE;
- Strong experience in civil litigation;
- Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision;
- Good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
- Strong drafting advocacy and negotiation skills;
- Excellent client care communication and organisational skills;
- Advocacy and contentious probate experience would be an advantage.
