Civil Engineer Drainage Infrastructure & Flood Risk
Remote (UK-based)
An established and growing civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of development-led projects across the UK with a strong technical focus on drainage infrastructure flood risk and earthworks design.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of civil engineering solutions supporting projects from feasibility through to detailed design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of drainage and infrastructure solutions for residential and commercial developments
- Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments Drainage Strategies and supporting technical reports
- Earthworks design including levels strategies and cut & fill assessments
- Production of technical drawings and designs using AutoCAD and drainage design software
- Liaising with internal teams clients and external stakeholders to deliver compliant and efficient solutions
- Supporting planning applications and responding to technical queries where required
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in drainage infrastructure and flood risk design within a consultancy environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and drainage software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
- Understanding of UK planning and design standards
- Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
