Job Summary

Ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information while providing an exceptional customer service within the Order Management department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for customers - be able to provide them with answers to their inquiries regarding their cargo during the lifecycle of the shipment from PO conception to delivery.
  • Interact with our customers arranging their international shipments meeting customer service standards.
  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
  • Track and trace Order Management files
  • Ensure documents are sent timely and arrival notices communicated to destination for Export shipments
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system according to what is established per customer on Customer DLSOP
  • Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing
  • Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (Shipping lines trucking companies and others).
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments meeting customer service standards.
  • Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customers policies / requirements.
  • Understand department process flow constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
  • Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the DLSOP
  • Meet KPI standards as per the companys procedures
  • Overseas communications timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
  • Escalation of problems to Management when necessary

 


Qualifications :

Skills:

  • Effective interpersonal skills including proven abilities to listen comprehend effectively communicate clearly and concisely obtain positive results.
  • Pro-active strong organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Mathematical skills be able to calculate weight and volume at minimum.
  • Fluent in English - this is NOT optional.
  • Reasoning skills.
  • Good communication skills.

Requirements:

  • 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
