Description

Project Coordinator

The Project Coordinator will work closely with cross-functional technical and non-technical resources to provide critical project support to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. This role is also responsible for the identification and escalation of Project impediments and will have a good understanding of basic Project Management methodologies and best practices. The Project Coordinator will work across organizational lines while collaborating with varying levels of team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Senior Project Manager with delivery of complex projects. Projects may include multiple technology disciplines and/or significant business process re-engineering efforts.

  • Ensures strict adherence to project schedules escalating any schedule deviations appropriately.

  • Organizes project activities that may require interdepartmental meetings and communication to help ensure completion of the project on schedule.

  • Coordinates priorities between projects using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Communicates project scope goals and responsibilities to project teams.

  • Adheres to established reporting procedures and monitors performance in project control activities.

  • Completes and distributes reports related to project health and status risks issues dependencies and overall performance.

Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher or equivalent work experience

  • 1-2 years of related experience with coordinating projects

  • Interacting with Senior Project and Program Managers

  • Project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project MS Project Online PowerPoint Visio SharePoint Power BI)

  • Some experience with waterfall and agile project management processes and methodologies

  • Progress toward PMP certification is a plus.

Skills:

  • Analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Good judgment in risk identification and mitigation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - strong verbal and written skills; ability to effectively engage with business and technology professionals
