Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve.
- Proactively working with ACS customers to ensure their successful deployment of the Oracle database replication.
- Technical assistance with Oracle GoldenGate software installation
- Design and implement GoldenGate configurations (both Classical or Microservices)
- Customize existing configurations meant to improve performance stability reliability and scalability
- Plan and perform upgrades or patching of existing GoldenGate implementations
- Design implement customize or troubleshoot GoldenGate MAA (Disaster Recovery and HA)
- Create configuration assessments of GoldenGate replication flows
- Offer guidance for tuning of GoldenGate replication flows according to best practices
- Perform system configuration health checks
- Knowledge Transfer: Prepare and present training programs (and technical workshop) designed to educate Support Services employees and customers on GoldenGate topics
- Interact with key customer personnel to enhance collaborative problem solving
- Forming effective professional relationships with Oracle Technical Account Managers (TAM) Oracle Product Support and customer staff at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction with Oracles products and support organization.
What Youll Bring
Your enthusiasm knowledge and customer-centricity. We also look for:
- Hands-on experience with those Oracle Software Products: Oracle GoldenGate Oracle Database
- Expertise in respect with GoldenGate (Classical or Microservice) versions 12c or higher
- Experience in working with Oracle Database and Infrastructure products in particular Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer (ExaCS and ExaCC) or comparable platforms
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Real Application Clusters (RAC) essential and DataGuard
- Advanced OS Administration skills with Unix / Linux (Oracle Linux or Red Hat Linux) are essential. Solaris and Solaris-Cluster skills are a plus
- Good troubleshooting performance tuning and a proactive mindset in preventing data replication issues are essential to this role
- Will add a plus to have solid knowledge and experience on the following topics:
- Enterprise Manager or Cloud Control
- Experience with database migrations and upgrades (including cross-platform)
- Backup and Recovery skills (RMAN)
- Knowledge of ZDM (Zero Downtime Migration)

Professional Qualifications
- University Degree or comparable education/professional experience
- Previous work experience in a Support Consulting IT Operations or Administration organization would be ideal
- Oracle Certified Associate and/or Professional qualification will be an advantage

Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.
