About the Opportunity
Join us in creatingopportunities tostrengthenlocalcommunity and culturalconnectionsfor Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander residents in Cardinia this roleyoullwork closely with local First Nationsresidentsto co-design and deliver a Community Action Plan that promotes health wellbeing and cultural pride. This is an exciting chance to make animpact by building relationships and delivering meaningful activities that bring people together.
The role may require occasional evening work
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to co-design a Community Action Plan.
- Planning and delivering monthly cultural and connection activities for all ages.
- Building strong relationships with community members and organisations.
- Supporting access to culturally safe health programs and services.
- Working with the Project Steering Group to report on progress and outcomes.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience inworking withAboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islandercommunities.
- Understanding of cultural safety and health and wellbeing principles.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to plan organise and deliver community activities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Current Victorian drivers licence.
