We are seeking to appoint a Legal Governance and Compliance Intern preferably a recent Law graduate to join our Legal and Compliance Department for a fixed 12-month internship period. The successful candidate will work under direct supervision providing essential administrative research and policy support.
This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in legal and compliance operations within the higher education environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting formatting and reviewing legal and compliance documents.
- Maintain and update the internal and regulatory complaints tracker.
- Conduct preliminary legal research and summarise findings.
- Log monitor and follow up on internal legal requests and general queries.
- Support the preparation of reports and policy reviews.
- Contribute to academic committee activities as required.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- LLB degree (completed).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Solid understanding of legal and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Outlook).
- Willingness to learn take direction and work within deadlines.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
