Do you have a degree in IT Digital or Cyber We are looking for talented forward-thinking graduates to help us further develop and strengthen our IT & Digital service.

Youll be a valued member of a dynamic IT Technology Delivery team working alongside IT professionals who deal with a myriad of interesting challenges project and tasks on a daily basis - no two days are the same! You will learn how an enterprise IT infrastructure hangs together and how it provides critical and essential services to the citizens of Leicestershire.

Youll work with other IT technicians who will show you the ropes but also learn how to support our customer base (over 5000 IT enabled staff) who we serve on a daily basis.

The Assistant Technical Specialist will be involved in supporting maintaining and configuring core IT infrastructure including networks servers cloud platforms and end-user computing environments to ensure system reliability performance and security. The role involves hands-on experience with enterprise technologies and collaboration within technical teams.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Have an NVQ level 6 degree or equivalent qualification in the Information Technology Digital or Cyber Security field.
  • Have undertaken a placement year in industry predominately in an IT Digital or Cyber Security discipline.
  • Be a good problem solver and be able to undertake a task or project on your own and within a team
  • Have an understanding of IT Service Management concepts
  • Be keen to learn new skills focus on personal development and adopt new ways of working
  • Have experience of writing technical & non-technical reports
  • Have a strong customer focus and good customer care skills
