Job Summary

EduTalent Group are hiring for SEN Teaching Assistants to support a welcoming and inclusive SEN college in Sittingbourne with an immediate start available.

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a small but growing provision supporting young adults aged 18 to 25 at a college in Sittingbourne. The college offers a structured nurturing environment with a strong focus on independence employability and personal development.

Learners study a varied curriculum including horticulture animal care creative crafts Maths and English and staff are genuinely invested in ongoing professional growth.

Job Description

Provide tailored support to learners with a range of Special Educational Needs including ASD ADHD SEMH and learning difficulties
Work 1:1 and in small groups to support learning behaviour and emotional development
Support learners who may be disabled and or disadvantaged
Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
Support personal development independence and social skills
Follow individual Education Health and Care Plans
Maintain a safe positive and inclusive learning environment
Use basic IT systems confidently and manage workload independently while contributing to a team approach.

Requirements

Experience working with children or young people SEN experience desirable but not essential
Education to Level 2 in English and Maths
Patient empathetic and resilient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to self manage and work collaboratively
Genuine interest in supporting learners with additional needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
