Position Summary
The position of General Education Classroom Teacher was established for the purpose of providing support for developing students success in academics interpersonal skills developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines: collaborating with other teachers other professional staff and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

- Iowa State Teacher License
- Bachelors degree in position related area

Instructional Design & Delivery
- Designs engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Implements best practices and instructional resources to enhance student learning in alignment with state and district standards.
Collaboration & Relationship Building
- Works with all stakeholders (students parents colleagues administration) to establish leadership positive relationships and a culture of high expectations.
Student Learning & Assessment
- Develops and guides learning in partnership with students incorporating classroom missions learning goals and recognition strategies.
- Evaluates individual and class performance using assessment data to adjust instruction for continuous improvement.
Classroom Management & Environment
- Manages classroom structure procedures and behavioral expectations to create a positive safe and orderly learning environment.
- Models professional and ethical behavior in alignment with district and state standards.
Professional Responsibilities & Development
- Maintains documentation and required data to support student progress and compliance.
- Actively participates in meetings and professional development to stay informed and improve instructional practices.
Other Functions
- Participate in staff development training programs faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service and assistance to all employees fostering a welcoming and approachable atmosphere.
- Work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate respect and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues students and families.
- Use positive and professional communication in all interactions.
- Adhere to safety protocols and policies established by the Ankeny Community School District to ensure the safety of oneself and others.
- Support District goals and objectives while adhering to all District policies contributing to the overall success of the school community.
- Demonstrate regular and dependable attendance to ensure smooth District operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

The usual and customary methods of performing the position functions require the following physical demands: lifting carrying pushing pulling climbing reaching driving standing and walking.
