Technical Leader Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Purpose: The technical leader oversees and guides mechanical design efforts across multiple programs. This position requires a motivated results-driven design engineer with expertise in development and the ability to guide cross-functional teams to accomplish objectives.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate & lead technical design team within one or more programs while working in a multi-disciplinary multi-site environment

Understand priorities to develop and communicate action plans internally and externally

Assist in defining the planning and resources required to achieve the success of the technical design activities of programs

Identify potential problems early and suggest options based upon cost time and requirements

Design build and test prototypes to characterize performance

Solve complex technical problems within the bounds of timing and cost constraints

Work with Nemeras injection molding tooling experts to successfully implement DFM and DFA into detailed designs ready for high-volume manufacturing

Guide and mentor junior engineers

Qualifications :

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering

7 years of product development experience

 Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA ISO etc.)

Proficiency in CAD software Solid Works and other relevant engineering tools

Experience with managing all technical aspects of device development

Experience with high volume production injection molding and automation

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead technical teams.

Ability to network across the organization to support activities across multiple sites

Experience working in a consulting environment

Familiar with the basics of electronics and software

POSITION RANGE: $135000 USD to $165000 USD Salaried  (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)
