Summary of Position: The Grant Accountant applies the principles of accounting to provide detailed specialized reports of expense information and will often require the preparation of detailed billing invoices for presentation to our customers specializing in Grant and Federal funding contracts.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field and/or four or more years of private accounting experience.
- Four (4) or more years of private accounting experience.
- Ability to understand interpret and disseminate contract information to ensure we remain in compliance with all the stipulations and requirements of our funding sources such as expense reporting and audit compliance.
- Ability to effectively communicate with our customers contracting offices.
- Experience with Financial Management Systems with a preference for Grant Management Systems.
- Detail oriented and organized work ethic.
- Excellent MS Office skills
