Job Summary

Office Location: 1480 Fowler St Richland WA 99352

Status: Exempt

Anticipated Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm. Occasionally evenings weekends and weekends for meetings donor relations and events.

Position Overview:


The Philanthropy Supervisor provides strategic oversight of fundraising initiatives major gifts grants planned giving donor stewardship and signature events. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer this role ensures that philanthropy strategies align with organizational priorities and revenue goals. The supervisor will lead mentor and develop the philanthropy team to drive high performance innovation and donor engagement.


Key Responsibilities


Fundraising & Donor Relations

  • Develop execute and evaluate a comprehensive annual development plan.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors corporate partners and community stakeholders.
  • Lead the planning and execution of major fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Oversee grant writing third-party events and planned giving programs.
  • Ensure ethical fundraising practices and stewardship aligned with the Donor Bill of Rights.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of fundraising activities progress and outcomes.

Leadership & Department Oversight

  • Provide day-to-day leadership coaching and performance management for philanthropy staff.
  • Create a mission-aligned high-performing team culture focused on donor engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee workflow project assignments and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the escalation point for donor-related concerns or operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Finance Communications and Executive Leadership.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Ensure accuracy integrity and consistent use of the CRM database for donor records and reporting.
  • Generate reports projections and analytics to support decision-making.
  • Monitor and manage departmental revenue and expense budgets.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold all compliance expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Philanthropy Nonprofit Management Public Relations or a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible fundraising development or philanthropy experience.
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts ($5000) and cultivating donor relationships.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience with proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Strong organizational communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.
  • Valid drivers license reliable transportation and an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience raising $1M annually.
  • Seven or more years of fundraising experience; at least three in a management role ideally in healthcare or nonprofit sectors.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite and involves local travel for donor and community engagement activities. Event participation may involve moderate physical activity and periodic outdoor work.

Hiring Range: $80289.15 annually - $107445 annually

Hiring Range: The starting pay range offered to new hires depending on experience and qualifications.
