Job Opportunity: Practice Manager Sunnybank Private Consulting Suites

Full-Time 76 hours per fortnight
Sunnybank Private Hospital part of theHealthscopenetwork is seeking an experienced and motivatedPractice Managerto lead the daily operations of our busy consulting suites. Conveniently located in Brisbanes vibrant southside Sunnybank Private offers a diverse and supportive environment with a strong focus on delivering high-quality clinical care.
About the Role:
This full-time leadership role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for healthcare administration and team collaboration. As Practice Manager you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the consulting suites supporting a team of dedicated medical and surgical specialists and ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the consulting suites
- Provide timely and accurate financial and operational reporting
- Develop and implement systems to improve productivity and efficiency
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a client-focused culture
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT and system issues
- Coordinate rosters for staff and manage clinic setups
- Schedule theatre bookings and liaise with surgeons and hospitals
- Manage VMO (Visiting Medical Officer) billing and insurer liaison
- Maintain clean organised and accessible consulting environments
- Collaborate with other Healthscope private practice managers to drive continuous improvement
What Youll Need:
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a senior role within a private practice or medical centre
- Strong understanding of medical billing scheduling and clinic administration
Key Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in medical software (Zedmed Gentu preferred)
- IT literacy with troubleshooting capability
- Proven ability to manage multiple clinics across specialties
- Collaborative mindset and a commitment to team success
