Job Summary
Assistant Technical Manager (holding the functional title of Optometrist) in the Department of Ophthalmology School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533878)(to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity totalling up to 10% of the basic salary with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree in Optometry and be a registered Optometrists (Part I) with The Optometrists Board of Hong Kong SAR under the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance. Those with relevant experience in research projects clinical trials and large-scale community projects would have advantages. They should be well-organized responsible self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as collaboratively as a team.
The appointee will be involved in large-scale community-based screening projects in various districts and in hospitals/clinics. He/She will support clinical services; perform ophthalmic examinations and investigations; assist in procurement and daily maintenance of the ophthalmic equipment and devices; and perform data collection and analysis.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
