Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care
Summary: Join a dedicated team at a Level II Trauma Center in Redding California. This facility specializes in the management of emergency surgery patients undergoing neurosurgery and trauma focusing on brain neck and spine surgeries. Ideal candidates will have a neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care background ensuring top-tier care for patients during critical moments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform low to moderate risk procedures including laceration repair IV access and fracture reductions.
- Execute high-risk procedures such as G-tube placement endotracheal intubation and central/arterial line placement.
- Manage 15-20 ICU patients per day with a focus on providing high-quality critical care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize Cerner Care B for electronic medical records management.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Must be current ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certified.
- State License: A valid state license is required.
- Other Certifications: ACLS ATLS and DEA are mandatory; ATLS is not a disqualifier.
- Malpractice: Clean malpractice record is required.
- Availability: Must be available at the time of name clearance.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA) certification.
- Valid state nursing license.
- Current ACLS certification; ATLS is preferred.
- DEA certification necessary.
- Clear malpractice history.
