Job Summary

Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care

Summary:

Join a Level II Trauma Center in beautiful Redding California providing exceptional care to emergency surgery patients dealing with neuro-trauma. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in neuro-critical care or neuro-trauma management. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills while making a valuable impact in a critical care setting.

Responsibilities:

Manage ICU patients with a focus on neurosurgery and trauma care.
Perform low to moderate-risk procedures including laceration repair IV access and dislocation reductions.
Assist in high-risk procedures such as G-tube placement endotracheal intubation and central line placements.
Collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Utilize Cerner Care B for electronic medical records management.
Adhere to established protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

Current ANCC/AANP certification (for Nurse Practitioners) or NCCPA certification (for Physician Assistants).
Active state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
ACLS ATLS and DEA certifications preferred; ATLS is not mandatory but beneficial.
CLEAN malpractice history.
Availability for immediate start required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in neurosurgery neurocritical care or neurology.

License and Certification Requirements:

Board certification (ANCC/AANP or NCCPA) - Required
Current state license - Required
Additional certifications: ACLS ATLS and DEA - Required
