Job Summary
Job Title: Locum to Perm - OB/GYN Hospitalist
Facility Overview:
MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Locum to Perm OB/GYN Hospitalist to commence on January 1 2026. This robust medical center is renowned for its comprehensive care and is situated in the vibrant city of Des Moines Iowa. With an emphasis on providing top-tier inpatient services the facility boasts the only maternity transport team in the state ensuring that patients receive exemplary care in all scenarios.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage OBED patients requiring care
- Provide care for emergent patients including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Attend to patients without a primary OB/GYN
- Collaborate with the maternity transport team as needed
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN REQUIRED (truly board eligible candidates may be accepted)
- Active Iowa License or Active IMLC REQUIRED (LOQ must be uploaded at the time of name clear)
- Clean malpractice and background history REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in OB/GYN
- Active state license or IMLC
- Valid malpractice insurance
