As a Locum MD in Radiology you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and contribute to ongoing medical projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays CT scans and MRIs
- Analyze and interpret imaging results to provide accurate diagnoses
- Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological technology
- Contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state
- Completion of residency in Radiology
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of radiology software and imaging technologies
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric
Required Procedures: Stereotactic biopsies breast ultrasound biopsies breast localization procedures mammo and ultrasound-guided biopsies
Team Structure: 6 additional radiologists full complement support staff
EMR: Epic
Dictation: Powerscribe
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
