As a Locum MD you will play a vital role in managing patient care conducting thorough assessments and implementing effective treatment plans. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services while ensuring patient satisfaction and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in Internal Medicine preferably in a hospitalist role
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems
Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
Schedule: 7 on/7 off
No call requirement
Daily Census: 12 patients
Duties: Admissions consults referrals discharges and procedures
Required Procedures: Paracentesis thoracentesis lumbar puncture line and tube removal abscess incision and drainage etc.
Any active unrestricted state license accepted
EMR: CPRS
Must be board-certified
