Reports To: Risk Director
FLSA Status: Part-Time Non-Exempt
Summary: The Mailroom Clerk and Cashier will process all incoming and outgoing mail in a timely efficient manner.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
- *Processes out-going mail while meeting daily deadline.
- Advises employees as to appropriate mail class and handling; and maintains inventory of supplies.
- *As needed goes to post office to drop off or pick up mail for urgent matters.
- *Sorts and delivers incoming mail by department to ensure timely distribution. Emails departments and/or employees on arrival of packages.
- *Operates mail machines including the postage meter mail folding and inserting machine.
- *Weighs processes and stamps all classes of mail including insured certified and registered applying knowledge of U.S. Postal Regulations with respect to packaging size and weight limitations labeling and zip codes.
- *Bills each office appropriately according for outgoing mail.
- For specific documents calls for a carrier and delivers to front desk for pick up.
- Serves as back up to the front desk as needed.
- Adhering to safety training and protocols daily and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information services rendered to clients donors names and gifts internal and external investigations or results of any investigations and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.
- Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
- Previous experience in mailroom operations preferred.
License and Credentials:
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Suite;
- Basic understanding of postage rates and regulations;
- Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of mail;
- Must be detail oriented organized self-motivated work well independently and on a team;
- Must have good written and verbal skills;
- Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Travel Requirements: Travel requirements for the position includes less than 5% local and 0% overnight.
