Job Summary

Instructional Assistant for Integrated Preschool ClassroomGateway Regional School District is looking for a dynamic early childhood Instructional Assistant to work in the integrated preschool classroom for Littleville Elementary ideal candidate will be energetic caring and be able to work as a team include:Working with students with limited academic behavioral and social skills and supporting young children with a broad range of abilities including students with independence social skills and language developmentWillingness to be flexible with job dutiesAbility to take feedback and instruction from classroom teacher and therapistsProfessionalism around confidentialityAbility to get up and down from the ground frequently throughout the dayAssisting with toilet training and diaper changingSupervision of outdoor activitiesLimited cleaning and disinfection of the classroom; especially with snack set upWillingness to learnYou may need to perform some additional duties such as supervision of recess bus duty etc. This individual will provide coverage across two programs to ensure students with disabilities have the appropriate amount of support and servicesQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or higher preferredCoursework in early childhood education preferredExperience working with young children both with and without disabilities preferredExperience with or knowledge of children with Autism preferredKnowledge of sign language is a plus although not necessarySalary Range: $17.97-$28.75 dependent upon education experience and placement.
