Help Desk Support Specialist-Full-time
Salary: $57200 to $65000 (Offer will be commensurate with experience)

Role Summary:
Provides first line technical support to the Citys Information Technology (IT) users. Responds to a variety of service requests including troubleshooting of software hardware and network issues implements new hardware/software documents procedures problems and resolutions. Works on related IT projects.
Education Training and Experience Required:
- Associates degree in computer science information technology or related field
- Professional experience in working with computers and applications: at least 1 year
- Knowledge of computer hardware software and networks
- Knowledge and experience in computer scripting
- Have or be able to obtain Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification within one (1)year of date-of-hire
- Have or be able to obtain Comp TIA A Certification within one (1) year of date-of-hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The City of Ann Arbor at its discretion may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience.
Education Training and Experience Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or related field
- At least two years of experience in working with computers and applications
- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) and/or Microsoft Specialist certification
- Knowledge and experience in computer programming/scripting
