Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is a 315 room Hotel located in Mascot near the Sydney domestic airport and home to our very own La Boca Restaurant and Bar specializing in Argentinean cuisine and 11 Function rooms - ideal for a wide range of events from small meetings to 300 plus large conferences.

Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport (SPSA) is seeking an energetic detail-driven HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hotel environment and takes pride in keeping HR operations running smoothly accurately and on time. If you love organisation process people and high-volume execution then this is the role for you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Area Director of Human Resources the HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support across all stages of the employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding to HRIS updates payroll inputs WHS admin and employee documentation this role is the backbone of HR operations at SPSA. You will work closely with operational leaders payroll and the HR Advisor to ensure our employees experience a seamless professional and compliant HR journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment administration (advertising screening interview coordination reference checks).
  • Preparing contracts onboarding packs compliance checks (VEVO RSA/RCG licence verification).
  • Setting up new starters in Zambion including classifications rosters reporting lines and T&A biometric enrolment.
  • Coordinating Day 1 logistics: uniforms ID badges access cards IT setup.
  • Maintaining accurate personnel files and processing HR documents (confirmations extensions variations roster changes).
  • Managing the HR inbox and responding to routine enquiries.
  • Ensuring Zambion remains accurate and up to date for payroll processing.
  • Tracking WHS training licences compliance programs and incident administration.
  • Coordinating probation reviews performance review cycles and engagement events such as Quarterly Red Knight Awards.
  • Supporting offboarding termination workflows equipment retrieval system deactivation Zambion exits.
  • Assisting with HR reporting audits and policy rollouts.

This role will suit someone who enjoys structure process and being the person others can rely on to get it done.

What Were Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12 years experience in HR administration recruitment coordination or high-volume office administration.
  • Hospitality experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience with Zambion HRIS or similar HR systems is desirable.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).
