Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Senior Accountant to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ramsgate. This is a varied general practice position which will offer valuable experience and exciting challenges. Our client is open to candidates looking to work 3 or 4 days a week. Our client is a well-established and market-leading firm of chartered accountants who provide a mixed accountancy service to a range of owner-managed business clients across Kent.

In this role you will:

Plan prepare and review accounts bookkeeping and VAT for a variety of clients
Prepare personal tax returns and corporation tax returns
Assist clients with their accounting software including Xero Sage and QuickBooks
Ensure work is being undertaken in the most efficient manner
Provide ad hoc support to the partners
Train and mentor trainees within the department
Handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner

Requirements

You will be AAT or ACA/ACCA qualified part qualified or qualified by experience.
You will have 3-6 years experience within practice and have hands-on experience of preparing accounts and tax work for clients.

35000 - 50000 FTE dependent on experience and background negotiable.

Required Skills:

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senior or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
