Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Manager to join a highly reputable Top 10 firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone Mid Kent. Based in the Maidstone office you will lead and manage a highly successful accounts team. You will have a flexible working pattern across both office and home working where you will service a growing and very exciting client base across a range of sectors and sizes.

Our client is a fantastic Top 10 chartered accountancy have an excellent reputation across Kent and the South East. Their clients range from small start up businesses through to significantly sized groups. They provide a wide range of accounting services from payroll bookkeeping and VAT through to accounts tax audit and further advisory services.

You will be responsible for:
  • Managing a mixed client portfolio including small to large limited companies sole traders and partnerships.
  • Managing the output of the team with regards to accounts management accounts bookkeeping and VAT preparation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients and assisting them with advice and queries.
  • Reviewing the work of more junior staff and advising them on issues.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients through networking and business development.
  • Working with other members in the accounts team and other departments to provide high-quality client service.
Commutable from Maidstone Tonbridge Medway Rochester Sittingbourne Faversham and surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years experience within practice.
  • You will have worked as a Client Manager/ Manager within a practice environment and have hands on experience of accounts management accounts tax and VAT.
  • Experience of cloud accounting software would be advantageous- Xero QuickBooks.

Required Skills:

You will be ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 3 years experience within practice. You will have worked as Semi Senior or Senior accountant within practice Experience of Iris and cloud software such as Xero/ Quickbooks would be advantageous
