Were looking for a Procurement Manager to join our high performing Procurement function supporting the Property area of Royal London Asset Management. Youll play a key role in delivering commercial excellence by leading sourcing activity shaping category strategies and driving supplier value. This role offers the opportunity to influence significant spend in a greenfield environment strengthen stakeholder relationships and make a meaningful impact on cost risk and quality.
Acting as a trusted business partner this role will engage directly with a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders ensuring that Procurement collaboratively delivers innovation value strategic thinking and fit for purpose customer focused solutions that are aligned to Royal Londons Purpose and strategy outcomes.
About the role
- Lead endtoend procurement activity including tendering negotiations and commercial management for medium spend and risk projects across the Property Investments area
- Lead negotiator to contracts and sourcing arrangements up to 5m in value
- Design lead and implement market leading sourcing arrangements for designated spend categories.
- Develop and implement category strategies across Property spend categories
- Create innovative commercial and supplierled solutions to drive cost risk and relationship value
- Ensure full compliance with Procurement Policy and Supply Management Framework supporting preferred supplier usage
- Build strong trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to drive early procurement engagement and informed decisionmaking
- Identify and mitigate categoryrelated risks ensuring audit actions and controls are effectively managed
- Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously
About you
- Proven experience in category management and strategic sourcing ideally within financial services/asset manager sector
- Property procurement experience desirable including property management facilities management construction utilities and property advisors
- Skilled negotiator with solid understanding of commercial models and contract law
- Effective communicator and influencer able to build trusted relationships at senior levels internally and externally
- Highly analytical able to interpret complex data and present insights clearly
- Adaptable commercially focused and able to apply strategic thinking to category and supplier decisions
- Proficient with procurement systems and Microsoft Office
- CIPS/MCIPS or relevant qualification desirable
