Senior Construction Manager (Senior Con-M)
Overall Purpose
As Senior Construction Manager you hold full on-site ownership of construction execution across all disciplines. You are the final authority on constructability sequencing safety and progress. You ensure that construction is not just coordinated but optimized technically commercially and operationally.
You operate as the link between project management engineering contractors and commissioning translating design intent into safe efficient and predictable site execution. From early design input through construction commissioning and handover you protect schedule quality cost and HSE and you intervene decisively when performance slips.
Key Responsibilities
Own and govern the overall construction execution strategy across the project lifecycle from Basic Design through commissioning and handover.
Develop challenge and maintain the integrated construction schedule across all disciplines ensuring realistic sequencing resource loading and risk mitigation.
Lead multi-disciplinary construction coordination at senior level across civil mechanical electrical and E&I scopes ensuring alignment between contractors engineering and commissioning.
Act as the site authority on HSE enforcing the Project HSE Plan setting standards through visible leadership and stopping work when required.
Chair and drive daily weekly and milestone-based coordination forums ensuring clear decisions accountability and follow-up.
Oversee complex site logistics and heavy-lift activities ensuring optimal use of cranes access routes laydown areas and installation windows.
Lead constructability reviews and method statements challenging engineering solutions where needed to ensure buildability safety and cost efficiency.
Manage and challenge contractor performance at senior level addressing delays quality deviations and interface risks in close coordination with WPOs and contract managers.
Provide clear fact-based reporting to the Site Manager and Project Management on progress risks mitigation actions and forecast impacts on schedule and budget.
Actively mentor junior construction managers and site supervisors raising execution standards across the site organization.
Drive systematic capture of lessons learned and ensure they are translated into concrete improvements on current and future projects.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Extensive experience in senior construction management roles on complex multi-disciplinary industrial or infrastructure projects.
Proven ability to lead large diverse contractor organizations and enforce execution discipline in high-risk high-pressure environments.
Deep understanding of construction methods sequencing and interfaces across civil mechanical electrical and E&I disciplines.
Strong command of HSE leadership with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices at any organizational level.
Demonstrated track record of developing owning and recovering construction schedules under real-world constraints.
Solid commercial and contractual awareness with experience handling claims variations and performance disputes.
Clear authoritative communication style with the ability to take decisions and stand by them.
Highly structured risk-driven and proactive approach you anticipate problems before they hit the schedule.
Fluent in English; Danish is an advantage but not required.
