We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Guest Service Associate (GSA) for Food & Beverage Service to join our team at Grand Mercure Mysore India. As a GSA - F&B Service you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests by providing professional and efficient service.
- Greet and welcome guests according to company standards ensuring a positive first impression
- Take and process guest orders accurately providing menu recommendations and answering questions about food and beverages
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner adhering to quality and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas including table setup and resetting
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns or special requests
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest inquiries complaints or special requests
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in setting up and breaking down for special events or functions
- Maintain knowledge of menu items daily specials and any changes in offerings
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining open communication
Qualifications :
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent qualifications
- Previous experience in food and beverage service preferred
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards and etiquette
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a collaborative attitude
- Fluency in English and Kannada (local language)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
- Knowledge of menu items food preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Flexibility to work in shifts including weekends and holidays
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
