Location: Hampton VA
Hourly Rate: $20.08 (Paid Weekly)
Schedule: Monday Friday 6:30 AM 3:00 PM
The Hazardous Waste Technician demonstrate sufficient waste management knowledge (DOT RCRA EPA) to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements for the 90 day Hazardous Waste Cage. This includes but is not limited to container management labeling determination of compatibilities grounding inspections inventories markings container condition and time limits. The position also requires familiarity of Howmet Hampton emergency response procedures and maintenance of emergency response materials. Forklift experience preferred.

Pay: $20.08 per hour - $20.08 per hour

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older

No experience required and on the job training provided

No high school diploma GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year of similar work experience

Responsibilities:

Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor mechanical plumbing electrical instrumentation HVAC and other equipment systems or structures

Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities

Respond to spills and other emergency situations performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary

Assist in client site or customer emergencies as needed
