Background Information
Ontario Healths Health Workforce Strategy and Implementation Team will be developing and implementing a new suite of nursing programs funded by the Ministry of Long-Term Care. Four new project control officers will support the recruitment and retention of nurses in Ontarios Long-Term Care sector. The contingent resources will support the effective launch and implementation of the new programs including providing direct support to Long-Term Care employers and nurses to help them navigate the available incentives tracking interactions and supporting operational requirements of the new programs.
Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to project managers and project team in coordinating planning communicating and executing the delivery of core project components.
Supports the day-to-day operations for the delivery of dynamic and complex health workforce programs by managing multiple projects to support program evolution and optimization while maintaining ongoing program operations.
Works with team members healthcare employers healthcare workers and others stakeholders to optimize the utilization of health workforce programs.
Liaises and collaborates with team members to optimize the stakeholder and client experience navigating internal programs and other health workforce solutions.
Works with the program team and leadership to develop document and implement processes and standards for accurate and consistent data processing and document management.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience working in a professional environment supporting multiple project managers and critical projects.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to plan and organize work within set timelines manage multiple projects/tasks in parallel prioritize and effectively anticipate and respond to issues as they arise.
Strong people skills including the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships consult influence and build consensus with stakeholders.
Effective oral and written communication skills to maintain stakeholder relations with an emphasis on customer service delivery and consultation.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word).
Deliverables Include but are not limited to:
Support the effective launch and implementation of several Health Human Resources (HHR) incentive programs.
Support direct communications with external stakeholders about initiatives.
Must Haves:
- 7 years experience in non-profit healthcare and/or government sector
- 7 years experience Client/stakeholder support and relationship management experience.
- 7 years experience preparing and maintaining spreadsheets or databases.
- Masters degree preferred or Undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline (health social sciences political sciences or another relevant field) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Public sector experience
Nice to have:
- Experience with Salesforce (or similar) CRM System
