We create eye-catching campaigns that shine a light on the BBCs wide range of programmes and services. This yearwereoffering aplacementwith our Promos Team the people behind the trailers and social content that get audiences talking.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
Asa Production apprentice this is brilliant opportunity to learn grow and contribute you could be:
- Working alongside experienced promo directors and editors to craft captivating video trails for TV and digital platforms. From gripping dramas and thought-provoking documentaries to podcasts comedies and events youll learn the craft of trailing a new series in 30 or less!
- Getting hands-on experience creating trails for BBC TV and digital/social media platforms.
- Training and mentorship from experienced creatives.
- A chance to work on campaigns for some of the BBCs biggest brands.
Youllbe learning both on and off the job. This means that as well as learning on your placement at the BBCyoullalso attend learning blocks (a week or two at a time) with our learning providerworking towards an industry recognised qualification Level 3 Diploma in Digital and Creative Media. Learning blocks will be delivered in-person.

YOUR SKILLS AND ELIGIBILITY
Were interested in your passion for working at the BBC and your enthusiasm for delivering world-class content and operational excellence to our audiences. Were not focused on your qualifications; instead we look for potential and offer you the opportunity to apply your transferable strengths and experience to work in different ways.
If you can bring some of these skills and experiences along with transferable strengths wed love to hear from you and encourage you to apply. We are looking for:
- Curiosity
- Creativity
- An interest in video editing filming or motion graphics.
This scheme is aimed at non-graduates. If you have a degree and youre interested in similar roles at the BBC we recommend applying for jobs at the BBC careers site or having a look at our other apprenticeship schemes.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for an apprenticeship at the BBC you must:
- Be 18 years old or over by the time the apprenticeship begins in September 2026
- Have lived in the UK continuously for the last 3 years prior to the start of the apprenticeship
- Be legally eligible to work full-time in the UK for the entire duration of the apprenticeship
- Not currently be enrolled in another apprenticeship programme whether with the BBC or another organisation
- No prior learning required to apply.
For candidates under the age of 19 years at 8th September 2026: To complete the apprenticeship you must have achieved Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in: Communication and Application of Number within the first 12 months of the apprenticeship.

Relocation support is offered to a limited number of apprentices each year and would beconsidered for this position subject to meeting the relocation support qualifying criteria. This is a fixed-term apprenticeship - your contract lasts for the duration of the scheme.
