Apprenticeship Programmes are a great way to earn and learn! Our Apprentice Bid & Proposals Coordinator Programme offers the perfect blend of personal and professional development exposing you to the core of our business.

Youll be supported every step of the way. Your role will be to gain practical experience in a few teams developing your knowledge and understanding of Severn Trent and the processes.

All of this will allow you to further develop your skills so you can communicate data effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders. Furthermore youll spend time with our Business Development Team; youll play a key role in supporting external bids and tenders for the Public Sector market. Youll help identify major opportunities engage with potential customers and colleagues and contribute to the creation of high-quality winning proposals.

HOW WILL THE PROGRAMME WORK

You will be based at the Severn Trent Centre in Coventry the heart of our patch. The programme requires you to gain exposure in different areas of the department so that you are equipped with the right skills to build your career here at Severn Trent.

In this exciting programme you will have the chance to discuss your development and career ambitions in your 1-1 meetings with business leads mentors a study buddy the cohort leader and the New Talent Team.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Gaining insight into the water and wastewater industry.
  • Understanding pricing strategies and value propositions.
  • Learning how large-scale contracts are negotiated and delivered.

  • Building relationships with internal teams and external clients.
  • Learning persuasive writing and presentation techniques.
• Market & Customer Insight
  • Researching public sector procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Identifying trends and opportunities in the utilities market.

  • Learning about water and wastewater treatment processes.

Our New Talent Team will guide you and support you every step of the way. Furthermore your line manager mentor and graduate buddy will be there to help you in making sure you reach your full potential here at Severn Trent.

Starting Salary: 22500

Entry Criteria: Maths and English GCSE at grade 4/C are required for this role.

Driving Requirements: There are no driving requirements for this role

You will be working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday across a 8am 4pm/9am - 5pm working pattern.
