This opportunity is with BA Aviation the aviation arm of Biodiversity Australia. BA Aviation specialises in delivering tailored consultancy and operational services across aviation environments including Aerodrome Reporting Officer / Work safety Officer (ARO / WSO) duties Wildlife Hazard Management and Airport Environmental Planning. About the opportunity

We are seeking applications from experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officers / Work Safety Officers (ARO/WSO) with a passion for aviation safety for opportunities in various locations throughout WA.

The ARO/WSO roles will offer an opportunity to apply and further develop your skills in a dynamic environment. Internal training and support will be provided to ensure your success.

In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform ARO duties in accordance with CASA regulations and standards.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data on wildlife activity
  • Compliance with company and client SOPs
  • Perform Works safety Officer duties ensuring safe airport operations at all times.
  • Upholding high standards of ethics safety and operational excellence

About you

You will have a passion for the aviation industry are a dependable and safety-focused professional with a commitment to maintaining high operational and safety standards. You thrive in dynamic environments and excel at managing your responsibilities with precision and care.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant ARO/WSO qualification
  • Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC)
  • Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) or ability to obtain one.
  • A strong understanding of wildlife behaviour and its implications for aviation safety
  • A General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Current Drivers Licence (Manual preferred)

Desirable

  • Aviation refuelling experience
  • Compliance experience
  • First Aid Certificate

This position requires you to be an Australian citizen and subject to a Police check.
