Job Summary: The School Building Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support within the Bucks IU Pearl Buck School. The School Building Coordinator duties and responsibilities in this center-based school program include supporting the overall functioning and daily operations of the school building. The School Building Coordinator is the first contact person for communication for all stakeholders such as parents school district personnel staff supervisors vendors etc. The School Building Coordinator must communicate effectively and directly with the Supervisor to prioritize needs and complete tasks.
Essential Functions:
o Serves as main point of contact and administrative officer for building staff when the Building Administrator is off-site escalating issues accordingly.
o Collects and reports facilities concerns to supervisor(s) and communicate necessary information concerning the Bucks IU programs services and staff to Samuel Everitt employees.
o Handles submission of staff changes by creating personnel action forms (PAFs) for review and approval.
o Oversees the school building visitor process including greetings and announcements and ensure compliance with site visitor log-in procedure for visitors to building.
o Maintains active staff and student records; expunges inactive records and preserve confidential student and staff records.
o Enters and ensures accuracy of data in Bucks IU software systems including Student Information Systems and Microsoft SharePoint.
o Supports arrival and dismissal procedures.
o Coordinates and arranges school operations and safety procedures/drills to ensure compliance with township regulations i.e. fire code.
o Appraises daily classroom coverage in collaboration with Building Administrator
o Prepares and coordinates special events and student activities.
o Prepares Bucks IU lobby directory of on-site staff IU/district administrators and transportation contacts.
o Supports main office staff with entering data into the Student Information Systems as needed and requested.
o Trains other personnel in office procedures to support breaks and absences.
o Partakes in staff training to build capacity across programs.
o Composes ongoing communication budgetary information scheduling and program effectiveness which includes posting of vacancies processing/screening of new hires completing paperwork and other personnel actions.
o Complies with current maintenance and inventory of staff equipment supplies and consumables.
o Assists other departments supervisors and school personnel with routine mailings and clerical activities.
Transportation:
o Evaluates and devises transportation changes and report transportation concerns to the transportation department.
o Prepares and alerts district transportation and contractors of snow days and late arrivals.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time 260-day calendar position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Hours of work may vary based on position and division but generally are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel: Little travel to client locations is expected for this position.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Associates degree preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Minimum three (3) years administrative experience.
Advanced computer competency in various databases and Microsoft Office programs and the ability to learn other software as needed.
Ability to create manage and edit spreadsheets and various reports
Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals and to problem solve.
Excellent organizational interpersonal and time management skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable): Citizenship or work authorization to work in the United States required.
