The HDGT NU Portfolio Finance Leader is the strategic partner to business operations responsible for driving growth profitability and cash and accountable for the business financials for each project in their portfolio. This role will leverage their cluster level expertise to assist the commercial and operations teams in planning and driving action around punch-list items during pacing and support country specific regulatory Stat & Tax requirements.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilties
- Partner with Project Directors and Project core teams to provide inputs for decision making to optimize financial performance both short-term and long-term
- Provide region or project specific knowledge to the project core team to execute and progress deals towards commercial closure
- Seek to optimize financials (P&L Cash) and identify potential operational risks and opportunities within the portfolio to deliver better than the AS SOLD and engage with Business Partners to escalate as
- Leverage business analytics (e.g. as sold vs executed annual margin review learnings etc.) to drive the continuous improvement of business performance and inform operations teams of optimization opportunities
- Optimize cash metrics in partnership with the Portfolio Leader participate in PSRs as needed and identify action items to continue driving progress on the metrics in-line with standards set up by the HDGT NU business line.
- Maintain oversight of key operational processes such as Advance Release & bank guarantees
- Partnership with operations team on all settlement change orders liquidated damages cost of poor quality
- Support the Region CFO in their partnership with the Regional GM on operational decision making
- Work with project Operations Finance & Commercial finance teams and finalize the operating plans and budgets for their portfolio.
- Control project exposure on bonds and letter of credits
- Partner with FP&A to own the financial submissions for all planning cycles and pacing/punchlist calls
- Own the local regulatory compliance for their portfolio along with the Stat & Tax team.
- Represent the Country / Legal Entity during audits and other regulatory interactions
- BS in Finance Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent international degree
- 5-7 years of experience in finance or operations function in progressively larger positions of responsibility
- Foster strong analytical skills to produce in-depth future profitability metrics based on historical trends
- Experience leading large complex projects that balance multiple stakeholders
- Experience and interest in driving process improvement
- Excellent time management organizational and data driven skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver with focus prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly
