About you and this role

Dow has an opening for a Construction Manager located in Houston TX. The Construction Manager acts as a technical and process expert for AWP/WFP supporting project teams from early planning through execution. Guides construction management and contractor teams onmethodology technology and integration to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve asAWPProject Lead or SME from early planning through Detail Design.
  • Guide construction management and contractors on AWP/WFP processes and tools.
  • Maintain CIT data with current design information and manage configurations of IWP rules of credit.
  • Collaborate with OPS/IT OT for data processing and first-tier technology support.
  • Facilitate project-level execution Work Package Release and productivity meetings.
  • Act asprimarypoint of contact for project AWP-related questions and issues.
  • Ensures that Dow Corporate CIT configuration templates aremaintained.
  • Ensure contractor teams are adequately onboarded and coached on Dows Construction Integration Tool (CIT) platform and AWP methodologies.
  • Timely identification and resolution of technology/process issues

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelors degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking
  • A minimum of 6 years construction engineering manufacturing or related experience
  • Expertisein AWP/WFP processes and construction execution
  • Proficiencywith CIT and AWP tools
  • Ability tomake CITconfiguration/mapping modifications
  • A current valid US drivers license is required

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Your Skills

  • Construction Safety Leadership: Ability to champion safety best practices and foster a zero-incident culture across all contracts and teams
  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Expertise in developing and managing integrated construction schedules to ensure timely delivery and proactive resolution of discrepancies
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: strong skills in aligning construction plans with budgets managing labor costs and minimizing overall construction expenses through planning and technology
  • Technical Knowledge of Construction Processes: In-depth understanding of constructability principles standards and application of best practices and technology to enhance safety cost and productivity
  • Front-End Loading (FEL) Expertise: Capability to provide construction input during early project phases to optimize design and minimize costs
  • Communication: Strong communication facilitation and problem-solving skills
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Skill in driving continuous improvement leveraging expertise networks and providing feedback on most effective technology (MET) for future projects
