Substation Construction Manager
Location: McCamey TX
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Overview
Our client is a leading energy infrastructure company seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee critical substation construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with 6-10 years of construction management experience to lead complex electrical infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on job sites ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Coordinate with engineers contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective project completion
- Perform inspections maintain QA/QC documents and audit construction quality for adherence to standards
- Maintain open communication with team members clients and stakeholders throughout projects
- Keep detailed records of construction activities progress reports and safety inspections
- Lead and manage construction teams monitor tasks provide feedback and resolve conflicts
- Work with EPC contractors to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders
- Oversee material procurement and management
- Manage concrete work including flat foundations drill piers breaker pads and GSU containment pits
Requirements
- 6-10 years of construction management experience preferably in electrical/substation construction
- Vast knowledge of electrical schematics mechanical civil and steel structural drawings
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and hazard identification/mitigation
- Strong problem-solving abilities to keep projects on track
- Experience with concrete work and foundation systems
- Broad understanding of company policies and procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time on-site in McCamey TX
