Summary:
Under general supervision incumbent(s) performs distribution and receiving supply inventory functions which may include but not be limited to mail distribution deliveries supply management return of merchandise processing requisitions and transfer and/or disposal of equipment.
Essential Duties:
- Performs receiving of supply functions by reading purchase orders on hand or in the materials software program verifying items received match ordered items identifying unmatched items and determining if those were ordered items verifying packages and signing vendor log-sheet and calling personnel for clarification or verification.
- Performs distribution of supply functions by loading and unloading truck driving truck operating forklifts truck lift and other equipment fills orders assists in supply requisitions delivers supplies to schools and departments acquires responsible parties to sign off on log-off sheet and files log-off sheet. Identifies all supplies to ensure the delivery of proper supplies
- Conducts the mail distribution including loading and unloading vehicle picks up mail and other items from schools and departments sorts mail delivers to appropriate schools departments and homes transports significant items (i.e. cash paychecks assessment expulsions etc.). Communicates with constituents regarding distribution.
- Operates delivery trucks mail trucks electric forklifts pallet jacks and other applicable equipment. Makes pre-trip and post-trip reviews ensures safety and performs general maintenance with all applicable equipment. Reports any and all citations issued by police issued by police agencies for moving violations.
- Performs data entry into and runs reports from the materials software program for areas including supply inventory receiving entries return of supplies posting on-line requisitions reconciliation of stock discrepancies and look-up of stock and purchase orders.
- Stocks shelves including relocating items updating shelf tags and coding determining storage location for excess stock and moving old stock out before the new stock.
- Conducts the return of merchandise process for inner-district and vendors. Records returned items into the materials software program and gives credit to appropriate school/department budget supply code. Obtains documentation and returning items from user. Gets return of authorization and credit documentation from vendors.
- Transfers furniture between schools classrooms and auction sites including lifting items loading and unloading truck operating forklifts truck lift and other equipment and coordinating moves with the effected personal.
- Assists the materials supervisor with completing the annual supply inventory by tallying units of all items documenting any discrepancies and makes adjustments in database. Completes disposal forms for those items that need to be discarded. Assists in physical fixed asset inventory as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. Verification of these required qualifications is necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) prior to being hired.
Preferred Qualifications:
It is preferred that applicant possesses the following preferred qualifications; however the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.
- Two years of warehousing experience;
- One year of computer experience;
- Valid Commercial Drivers License;
- Valid Forklift Certification.
