The Group Head of Technology Professions plays a pivotal role in shaping and
delivering Bupas cross-market unit (MU) workforce and talent strategy for
Technology. A key element of this strategy is the development and implementation ofa modern skills-based Technology Professions model a structured frameworkthat defines roles skills careerpathwaysand development resources across coreTechnology domains.


This role will lead the ongoing development improvement and deployment of theTechnology Professions model and its supporting resources working closely withregional CIO teams to tailor implementation to local needs. It will also heavily supportthe next phase of the workforce strategy: Technology Talent Management.

  • Design and implement career frameworks that define clear pathways for progression and development across all technology roles.

  • Lead capability-building initiatives including professional communities mentoringprogrammesand learning solutions to future-proof skills.

  • Partner with senior leaders and HR teams to embed technology talent strategies into workforce planning and organisational design.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion within technology teams creating an environment where everyone can thrive and contribute.

  • Monitor emerging trends and technologies advising on how theseimpactskills requirements and shaping proactive responses.

  • Drive engagement and retention by creating compelling propositions for technology professionals ensuring Bupa is seen as an employer of choice.

  • Extensive experience in technology leadershipor HRwith a strongtrack recordin talent strategy capabilitydevelopmentor workforce planning.

  • Deep understanding of digital transformation and the skillsto deliver technology-enabled change.

  • Proven ability to influence at executive level building strong relationships and driving consensus across global teams.

  • Expertisein designing career frameworks and learning programmes ideally within complex matrix organisations.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills able to translate business needs into actionable talent strategies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to inspire and engage diverse audiences.
