DescriptionThe Infrastructure Finance and Advisory (IFA) team has a global mandate to originate structure and execute infrastructure finance deals in developed and emerging markets. We are a product agnostic team comprised of experts in project finance bonds loans and structured products. We assist other product and coverage partners in deals involving infrastructure assets across loan and bond financing M&A equity raises project finance advisory derivatives structuring and other products. We engage with both greenfield and brownfield projects across the transportation energy power digital infrastructureand social infrastructure sectors.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a junior banker (Analyst )to be based in Hong Kong to be part of the team that covers the Asia-Pacific region. The recruited professional would:
- Work with the IFA APAC team leader and other senior bankers to originate structure and execute financings including loans bonds structured products and credit enhancements from development finance institutions
- Be responsible for day-to-day deal management
- Support senior bankers with the negotiation of transaction documentation
- Develop financial models and complete financial analyses for infrastructure projects across all sectors
- Work on drafting financing proposals investor materials road show marketing materials rating agency presentations pitch books and other marketing materials
- Assist in completing transaction due diligence with advisors
- Work with J.P. Morgan credit risk and legal teams to review transactions in connection with credit risk and other approval processes
- Support senior bankers in answering investor and rating agency inquiries
- Conduct industry and company research to identify new opportunities.
Required qualificationscapabilities and skills:
- Minimum 1 year of investment banking or private equity experience required preferably with infrastructure/project finance experience
- Bachelors Degree preferably in accounting finance economics or a related field
- Excellent project and infrastructurefinance modeling skills
- Strong quantitative and financial analysis skills
- Experience creating marketing materials and presentationsin PowerPoint
- Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates deal team needs
- Willingness to work hard and be a team player. We work closely with partners in banking capital markets credit and various product groups as well as our partners across the control functions
- An ability to juggle multiple deliverables for long-term transactions as well as a busy day-to-day schedule
